The Thickness of the Lens 

Before choosing prescription eyeglasses for your kid, consult the eye doctor. If the prescription is strong then lenses will be thick. Don’t choose large frames as it increases the thickness of lenses. 

Smaller lenses have lesser higher-order aberrations near the edge of the lens as compared to the large lenses of the same prescription. So there is less risk of blurred or distorted peripheral vision.
